Our Vision of Children’s Worship & Volunteers
Tucker, Jessica, and I are so glad to be at a church who cares about the next generation – there is no higher calling than to care for the children! Jesus shared with the disciples in the Gospel of Mark 10:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
Did you know the word “child”, according to some scholars, can apply to an infant all the way up to a person who is considered to be an age of “complete adulthood, which is twenty years old?!
Here at FBC Marble Falls, we have many opportunities to minister to the children and “let them come to Me” but I want to highlight just one and that is our Children’s Worship Ministry which is broken up into three areas below:
Extended Teaching Care for infants through Three year olds (meets every Sunday during the second worship service)
Launch Pad for Four year olds through Kindergarten (meets every Sunday except the first Sunday of each month during the second worship service)
Blasting Zone for First through Third grade (meets every Sunday except the first Sunday of each month during the second worship service)
In order to care for the children during this ministry, we desire called and committed volunteers who are wanting to make an impact, a God-impression on the lives of these “little ones.”
If you want to serve in Launch Pad or Blasting Zone, please contact me, Nichole Sims to set up a ministry interview.
For Extended Teaching Care, we use a Sunday School Rotation Model to insure that we have enlisted called and committed volunteers. Tucker, Jessica and I have purposed together, prayed for and planned out an ETC (Extending Teaching Care) Schedule for the remainder of this year as well as a Schedule for 2016. We took into consideration the demographics of each Sunday School class and what months would better fit each class We believe the One year+ schedule will allow for better planning for your class. We are also excited to share that we have moved to a partnership paradigm where each month of ETC will be shared with two or more Sunday School classes.
Please see below for your times of service – of making a God-impression – begin to pray now how God will bless you for “letting the children come…”. Also, please note that Jessica will email you two months in advance to remind you of your service.
One final note – please choose one class liaison that will do the following:
- Receive the reminder email from Jessica
- Communicate this information to the class, and
- Coordinate the sign up and share this information with Jessica
