Send Them Out
FBCMF is a “sending church.” This means that we not only support the International Missions Board (IMB), but we are also preparing to send missionaries from within our own church body. This process of selection, training, preparing, and sending is detailed and not taken lightly. We are continually praying for those within our church that God is calling to be sent. This relationship is attributed to any candidate that completes the commissioning process outlined by the Missions Committee, and is a member of FBC Marble Falls. This may result in various levels of funding that range from missionary support, region development, or project funding, but in all scenarios, FBCMF is considered the sending church. This relationship is defined by missiological, strategic, and spiritual supervision by the Missions Committee and a pre-determined Advocacy Team from the larger church body.
Train Them Up
FBCMF is also involved in missions education and training through a study entitled Panorama. Panorama is a spiritual and missional training that FBCMF utilizes to prepare people for cross-cultural ministry. Panorama is a web-based multi-media small group experience to train people for cross-cultural service. The learning experience covers more than 40 essential areas of preparation as identified by qualified missiologists and missionaries. Students will participate in weekly sessions led by trained facilitators. Using session guides, multi-media resources and through authentic relationships, the Facilitators personally invest in the missional formation and cross-cultural preparation of each candidate. The student, in turn is practicing what they learn through various forms of cross-cultural ministries within their own communities. The desired result is a group of cross-cultural servants, connected to their church and connecting their church to the world.
